Interpretation trail to discover the daily life several thousand years ago

Les Menhirs de Monteneuf, Archeosite de Brocéliande, has been awarded the "Espace remarquable de Bretagne" label. It has about forty standing stones, the origin of which invites us to look back 6,500 years. Less surveyed than Carnac, it really deserves to be known. Visitors are invited to walk along the interpretation trail and discover daily life several thousands of years ago, but also the work that archaeologists have been doing for 30 years. Every year, the association Les Landes offers a programme of activities for the summer.

Ce parc archéologique est magnifique. Des visites guidées et des ateliers autour de la préhistoire sont proposés (faire du feu, faire une poterie...). Le site est agréable à visiter. Le seul bémol est le prix: il n'y a pas de forfait pour la journée, chaque visite et chaque atelier doivent être payés séparément.

Lieu exceptionnel pour les amateurs de vieilles pierres, notamment parce c'est un témoin de la fabrication des mégalithes: un menhir est resté inachevé, il est encore scellé dans son bloc de pierre! des milliers d'années après le départ? la fin? la disparition? de ses bâtisseurs...
