THE CHAPEL OF KERNÉANT
Chapel at the top of a hill in front of the massif of Broceliande, built in the 16th century, offering a superb view on the massif.
The chapel of Kernéant is situated on the top of a hill opposite the Brocéliande massif. It offers a superb view of the massif. Built in the 16th century, it was restored in the 18th century by Count Henri de Volvire. This name is associated with a local legend, that of Anne-Toussainte de Volvire, known as the Saint of Nothingness. Near the religious building stand five old oaks, classified as "Remarkable Trees". It is said that their trunks have been used as a refuge during conflicts. The atmosphere of this place is particularly pleasant: peaceful for some, spiritual or mystical for others.
