THE HOUSE OF PRINCES
House located in Pont-Scorff whose architecture dates from the second Breton Renaissance.
The main function of the house of the Princes of Rohan (early 16th century) was justice, hence the existence of a prison. Its architecture dates from the second Breton Renaissance: facade in granite bevelled at the corners, dormer windows, ornaments of chimeras and fleurons on the rampant, stained glass. A legend claims that an underground passage joined the cellar to the castle of Leslé, in Bas-Pont-Scorff, and was used to bring dangerous prisoners to the site of the hanging. The house of the Princes, classified as a historical monument since 1932, now houses the town hall of Pont-Scorff.
