LA MAISON D'ARMORINE
History: In 1946, confectioners Yvonne and Raymond Audebert made the first "niniche", drawing inspiration from the know-how of Breton grandmothers: salted butter caramel and fruit flavours. Post-war France rediscovered sugar and success was immediate. The lollipops were awarded the "Best Candy in France" award and would later be referenced as part of France's culinary heritage.
Products: The manufacture of the various specialities meets the respect of traditional processes and the requirement of quality in the use of raw materials: local products, butter and fresh milk, cream, Guérande salt or cane sugar... In the house, you will find a wide range of creative products based on salted butter caramel; Salidou, Salidou cream but also hard and crispy caramels.
Particularity: Armorine has celebrated its 70th anniversary and for three generations, the family know-how has been perpetuated. Today, the grandson, Alain Audebert, invites you to discover their passion in the Espace Découverte in Quiberon. The visit immerses you in the confectionery of yesteryear. The old machines from the beginning of the century are on display. A film is also shown on a large screen.
