Built in 1688 by Sieur Boisanger (a wealthy merchant and shipowner from Port-Louis), the Stervins tidal mill is now transformed into a dwelling. At that time, Sieur Boisanger, then director of the Compagnie des Indes, had bought the right to grind from Louis XIV. At the beginning of the 19th century, the merchant's family still owns it. And today, we discover a mill that has lost its wheels but which, at low tide, still lets us see its last two valves allowing the passage of water.
