The dishes on the carte or on the menu board (which always offer two fishes) are prepared with fresh market produce for guaranteed flavours, according the chef's inspiration. In season, from May to November, real mussels are served in cast iron pots accompanied by French fries, and Villa is a reference today in this field in Vannes. Fine and crunchy homemade Pizzas, fresh pasta like the famous Sicilian fried tagliatelle shells, and beautiful salad meals ideally complement the tasty choice. Meat and fish like crusted cod with fried chorizo or pan-fried scallops and prawns with parsley, all very fresh, are also served here. The restaurant is set on three floors, and is decorated in harmony with this beautiful timber-framed house of the sixteenth century. Reception is charming, and groups are welcomed. J'ai commandé du Cabillaud Chorizo (Chorizo de morue) et de la Pizza Orienale. Le Cabillaud Chorizo est accompagné de riz, de salade et d'une épaisse tranche de morue. Le riz est cuit avec diverses épices, ce qui le rend très fringant. La morue est épaisse mais parfaitement cuite. Elle est feuilletée et conserve tout le jus du poisson. Le dessus du poisson est recouvert d'une couche de chorizo bien aromatisé.
La pizza est arrosée de tout ce qui est bon comme le fromage, les saucisses, les oignons... J'ai vraiment apprécié la pâte qui, contrairement à d'autres endroits, reste suffisamment pâteuse.
On a bien mangé au demeurant !
