ST. PATERN'S CHURCH
Church built in wood in the century in Vannes, restored in the original baroque style between 2006 and 2014.
Dedicated to Paternus, the first bishop of Vannes and one of the seven founding saints of Brittany, the original building dates from the 6th century. Burned down in the 10th century by the Vikings, rebuilt in the 11th century, it has been a stage of the Tro Breizh since the Middle Ages. Victim of storms between 1721 and 1726, the church will be rebuilt in the 18th century and will be the subject of an intense restoration between 2006 and 2014, which allowed the revaluation of its baroque style. It houses the relics of the Saint, a remarkable pulpit, as well as a beautiful Debierre organ currently being restored.
