GAILLARD CASTLE
Castle dedicated to the conservation of the testimonies of Prehistory and History with objects resulting from the excavations in Morbihan
Currently closed for work and study in order to design a new museum on site, Château-Gaillard, seat of the Parliament of Brittany in the 15th century, is now dedicated to the conservation of evidence of prehistory and history. The second floor presents nearly 900 objects from excavations carried out in Morbihan, from the Paleolithic to the Roman period. Also on display are numerous ancient objects illustrating daily life, as well as thematic collections and the "Cabinet of the Desert Fathers".
