HALLE AUX POISSONS
Each fisherman, oyster farmer or fisherman rents a stall and sells his fish (bass, sole, red mullet), oysters (Gulf) or live shellfish (lobsters, langoustines, edible crabs, spiders, étrilles, prairies...) caught or harvested the day before or the previous night. Not all these seafarers are there every day (rather on Wednesdays and Saturdays), their most important place of work being the Gulf and the fishery not always successful. The halls are well ventilated and the fish, like the seafood, are of impeccable freshness. Be careful however on the ground: it is wet; prefer flat shoes to high-heeled pumps to do your shopping! And avoid weekends of high attendance: prices are soaring to the great regret of the locals.
