DOMAINE JEAN-MICHEL SORBE - JOSEPH MELLOT
The estate extends over 13 hectares of vines cultivated using sustainable agriculture, mainly located in the communes of Reuilly and Preuilly, in the AOC Reuilly. The sandy and gravelly alluvium having been eroded by the river Cher, the sauvignons and pinots noirs are thus grown on clay covered by superficial silt. The Quincy AOC, particularly in the Clos de la Victoire area, is planted exclusively with Sauvignon grapes. This harmonious wine will go well with a lobster swim or more simply with local goat's cheeses such as Chavignol and Valençay. On the AOC Reuilly, the Domaine Jean-Michel Sorbe cultivates a pinot gris vinified in rosé, which is a real specificity, and a great success. The tasting-sale cellar will allow you to savour the different vintages and make your purchases there. Please note: the educational trail "Le Sentier du Vin" explains very well the work of the vine over the seasons. The wines signed Jean-Michel Sorbe, belonging to the Mellot group, are often distinguished by the guides and the main competitions, which attests to the regular quality of the estate's production.
