Access: From Bourges follow the RN 76.
History: The story of the porcelain in Berry is a long story that began in the eighteenth century with a Flamand, Louis Pillivuyt, and who continued with another, Louis, born Deshoulières. Louis will have six sons, including Philippe who will take the direction of the former Lourioux establishments in 1968 and will give his name to the porcelain Philippe Deshoulières. Today, the Deshoulières group is manufacturing in three factories, in Foëcy, Chauvigny and Dorat. For some time these factories have become subsidiaries of the Parisian company «Les Jolies Ceramique sans Kaolin», led by Jean-Claude Kergoat. Perpetuating the bicentennial know-how of Berry's porcelain, Philippe Deshoulières presents us with original pieces of rare quality and shimmering scenery. On the Porcelain road you have to visit the museum which traces this beautiful adventure of porcelain.
