DOMAINE DE VILLALIN
This vineyard, located on the banks of the Cher, extends over a little over 8.2 ha of sauvignon and 1 ha of pinot noir and pinot gris. Its territory extends over the commune of Quincy and part of the commune of Brinay. At the Villalin estate, the vines are pruned by hand, guaranteeing the selection of the grapes at harvest time. Since January 2019, Maximilien de La Chaise has taken over this estate and is committed to developing the work of the vine in a traditional spirit and approach, with respect for nature. A member of the Equusvinage brotherhood, whose vocation is the reintroduction and reuse of animal traction (draught horses, donkeys and mules) and manual harvesting, he is working to revive a forgotten grape variety: the knee.
