ANET CASTLE
All that remains of Château d'Anet are a few ruins, now owned by the Dukes of Vendôme.
A jewel of the Renaissance and a mecca for the arts, this château in the heart of the Eure-et-Loir region was commissioned by Henri II for his favorite, the famous Diane de Poitiers. Although only one wing of the original château, dating from 1548, remains today, the estate offers a striking testimony to the centuries, illustrating history both great and small. Renovated from 1840 onwards, the château and its grounds have benefited from the patience and good taste of the de Yturbe family, allowing us to enjoy some of their work, and a happy glimpse of these architectural riches.
