FERME DE BADONVILLE
The Badonville farm, located in Broué between Chartres and Versailles, is where the DE SMET family grows their saffron. The family business is run by Samuel, his brother Jonathan and Jonathan's wife, Laure, who all work full-time on the farm. Passed down from generation to generation, the love of the land and hard work has led to new ideas and methods, as well as diversification of production. As well as growing saffron, the farm also produces traditional crops such as wheat, barley, rapeseed and peas, as well as rarer crops such as fibre flax and tobacco. In short, Badonville Farm offers a wide variety of products. Visitors can discover the saffron farm and buy saffron products such as saffron cider vinegar, saffron mustard, artisanal honey/saffron sweets, etc.
