A few sandwich and dholl-puri vendors have stalls in the immediate vicinity... Take a snack break.

Today, in addition to selling its own spirits (wines and spirits) and in order to offer consumers a wider choice, Oxenham is also a wine merchant under the brand name Le Connoisseur. The Grand Baie boutique sells wines from all over the world as well as champagne, whisky, liqueurs, fruit juices, chocolates and coffee. At the same time, Oxenham produces rum made from molasses, which is offered for sale under the brand name Bougainville and is divided into four Pure Single Rums - Gold, VSOP, VS and XO - and three flavoured rums - Citronella, Vanilla and Vieux Domaine (spicy rum). Aged in sherry, cognac and bourbon oak barrels, then in muscat barrels to develop exotic flavours, these rums are beginning to be sold for export, particularly in French cocktail bars. Just recently, the company also made the beer bet by launching The Thirsty Fox, a range of four artisanal beers: a Lager and three Ales - a blonde, an amber and a white one

RETOUR DE LA PÊCHE

Openair market

As in most markets of this type, prices are not fixed and are discussed directly with the fisherman, taking into account a number of criteria: whether or not the catch of the day is abundant, the season, the species offered for sale, the weight etc. Schedules vary, so it's best to find out the day before to avoid finding yourself in front of an empty stand - usually in the late morning or afternoon. In any case, the sale is the main attraction and, whether you buy or not, gives you the opportunity to discover the species of fish cooked in Mauritius.
