JURONG BIRD PARK

Arriving at 9 pm, take a breakfast at Song Bird Terrace where the birds égosillent up to 11 h in their cages. MERLION
Read moreA true Singapore icon, the half-lion, half-fish statue spitting water into the bay attracts tourists from all over the world. But what's so special about this statue? It's a bit like Brussels' Manneken Pis, the symbol of a city, found in all its forms in souvenir stores. Created in 1964 as a logo for the Singapore Tourism Board, the Merlion recalls the legend of Sang Nila Umata's sighting of a creature on the city-state's present site. A replica also dominates Sentosa Island.
SRI VEERAMAKALIAMMAN TEMPLE
Read moreBuilt in 1881, the temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, wife of Shiva. Veeramakaliamman means "brave Kali". She is represented with five pairs of arms and legs. She holds weapons in her multiple hands, including a trident and freshly cut men's heads. She tramples on a corpse and wears a skull necklace around her neck. With such attributes, she is as feared as she is revered. Kali is represented surrounded by her sons Ganesh and Murugan.
SINGAPORE RIVER CRUISE

Then the boat goes down the Singapore River along the right bank first and Bat Quay, CBD, Merlion. It crosses the bay to Marina Sands and then returns to Fullerton before going up the river by the left bank. The cruise lasts about forty minutes and the explanations are in English. A night cruise with laser show takes place every evening.

WAN SOU SHAN TEMPLE (MILLION YEAR OLD MOUNTAIN TEMPLE)
Read moreBuilt on the top of a small hill, this temple is located in a settlement area, which makes it lose a bit of its charm. His shui feng, on the other hand, is perfect because he turns his back on the mountain and faces the sea. Divided into two parts, the temple is dedicated to Kuan Yin, omnipresent in Singapore. The main grace that she gives to her fervent is longevity. The temple of the high, which is reached by a nice staircase, was recently renovated as well as the statues. There is a court and a little sanctuary with a statue of Buddha.
In the main sanctuary, Kuan Yin is found in a statue of the Monkey God with, on the one hand, the gods of war and the other, the goddess of Fertility and Birth. Basically, and facing Kuan Yin, we see Wei Tuo, who loved Kuan Yin but whose love was pushed back. He then became his friend and knight serving. Here you have to attend the festivities celebrating the four birthdays of Kuan Yin (they take place during the 2nd, 6 th, 9 th and 11 th lunar month).
EAST COAST PARK

The rest of the week, East Coast Park is much less vibrant and therefore much calmer.
