SAN JOSÉ
Read moreA pleasant paladar installed in a colonial house. There are two rooms, one of which is air-conditioned and decorated in a design style, with a pleasant cocktail bar. The restaurant has just been enlarged which makes it even more pleasant and a smoking area has even been set up in the patio. The cuisine served is typically Cuban with a wide selection of seafood. If you are very hungry, we recommend the combination of lobster, shrimp and fish dishes. Attentive service. Recent renovation. Reopening: May 2022.
TABERNA EL BARRACON
Read moreA traditional Cuban restaurant of rustic style, all in wood, with several small and pleasant terraces overlooking the famous red tiles of the roofs of Trinidad. The theme of the establishment? The good wine! Hence the superb wine cellar in the basement, and the specialty of the casa, the unctuous lamb in wine. The menu also includes excellent pizzas, spaghetti dishes and a variety of grilled meats. The meal is often accompanied by live music and, why not, very good mojitos! Enjoy your meal.
MUÑOZ Y TAPAS
Read moreA relatively young restaurant in the landscape of Trinidad, installed on the floor of a beautiful traditional house superbly restored. Behind its blue facade, we discover a cosy setting with a view on the roofs of the city. Here, you can enjoy creative tapas made with good farm products. Fast and attentive service. Very nice pictures of Trinidad on the walls because the owner is Julio Muñoz (owner of Casa Muñoz), a photo enthusiast. Good address which changes a little of all that one finds in the city.
LA ESQUINA 373
Read moreInstalled in a beautiful and large house restored in a modern and tasteful way, this restaurant offers a superb setting, especially since it has several terraces. It is particularly pleasant at the time of the aperitif because of the live music from 7 pm to 10:30 pm. For the dishes, it is the Cuban gastronomy which is with the honor with many specialities of grills to the wood fire (see the space barbecue at the bottom of the restaurant). The staff is well dressed and attentive. Good wine list. A sure value and definitely recommended!
TERRAZA COLONIAL
Read moreAs the name of this paladar suggests, this gourmet establishment has the particularity of being installed on the terrace of an old colonial-style building, right next to the legendary Canchánchara. The space, nicely decorated and quite modest in size, gives the restaurant a romantic feel, especially at night, a feeling reinforced by the soft notes of cha-cha distilled by the musica en vivo band. As for the dishes, we find the great Cuban classics, with a special mention for the lobster.
EL JIGÜE
Read moreIn 1513, the Franciscan father Juan de Těšín celebrated on this street the first Christmas mass of the city. Today the building is detached from the style of the neighborhood thanks to its tiles and paintings. Stylish frame and very well-kept tables. For the little story, the restaurant bears the name of the tree el Jigüe, a great tree that was in front of the restaurant and this location well before the restaurant's existence… But this tree was destroyed by the 2012 cyclone, another was planted in the meantime but it's smaller.

SOL Y ANANDA

The tables are covered with embroidered tablecloths and the dishes are refined. The cuisine offered is typically Cuban with the usual great classics but several dishes have an Indian touch because Lizaro, the owner, is a great passionate Indian. We recommend shrimps with curry. Please note: there is a choice of vegetarian dishes. Good wine list. Attentive service.
TRINIDAD COLONIAL

We recommend, among other things, the shrimp cocktail as a starter and the colonial Trinidad fish with vegetables and cheese. For dessert, the homemade flan is a delight. Attentive service. A state restaurant of equal quality for years now. To continue the evening, try your luck upstairs at the Room Bar, a relatively new place (closed when we visited!) with a very nice rooftop
