Want to escape from the electro clubs and other electro sounds? If you are a lover of old school nightclubs, the Palms on Oxfordwill be your little paradise for the rest of the night! For more than 20 years, this gay friendly club has been vibrating to the rhythms of the 1990s and 2000s. But you can also find disco, hip-hop or r'n'b. The clientele, often young people in their thirties, comes here to enjoy the playlists and the biggest hits of their youth. Be careful, it's difficult to get in at the end of the evening as the place is so crowded.

With deceptively South American iconography, several bar areas decorate the place, enough to please all desires (quiet, dancing...) and all audiences. The crowd is mixed: gays, lesbians and straights. Nice for a drink or even dancing on the^1st floor. Best: Fridays and Saturdays after 9pm. In summer, enjoy the super rooftop (open from 3pm from Monday to Thursday and from 12pm from Friday to Sunday). You can have a drink, admire the sunset, have a brunch, dance, listen to concerts and DJ sets...

The Ivy is the place to be in Sydney. With a chic and trendy clientele, the nightclub of this large complex offers dancing and delicious cocktails in the heart of the City. You can also take advantage of the regular concert program, which can easily be found on the website ("What's on" page). In the early evening, businessmen and businesswomen share a drink with colleagues, then as the hours go by, Sydney's youth invade the dance floor. The ideal place to party and enjoy a night out with friends.

The Oxford Art Factory is a Sydney venue known for showcasing, guess what... artists! It's a paradise for musicians, bands, visual artists, and anyone with a little something extra: grungy, funky, poppy, groovy, rocky, etc. This is the factory of melodies, sounds, and gigs. At least four nights a week, bands perform. If you want to know what's going on in Sydney musically and what's trending, this is the place to be. There's also a dance floor.

This casino is the second largest in Australia after the Crown Casino in Melbourne. It is also the only legal casino in New South Wales: all gaming operations are supervised and controlled by the government. Ideally located on Darling Harbour, it has two floors of gaming, eight bars, several of which are also nightclubs, 12 restaurants, over 350 hotel rooms and 130 apartments... In short, a great temple of the party where you will have something to occupy your festive nights! Many events are also scheduled.

A club with a bold and urban style, frequented by young people from 20 to 30 years old, whose main cachet is the Chinese washing machine in the basement, but also its lanterns and gold statues. A big room, an impressive wine list... the place is also famous for its DJ's, its international or local stars. The perfect place for a big, big party, with beats and volume. Be careful though, the place can be (very) crowded depending on the DJs announced. Nice staff. Good sound system.

A timeless classic since the 2000s. Arguably one of the best-located nightclubs in all of Sydney, with its stunning views stretching from Darling Harbour to Cockle Bay Wharf, its range of surrounding restaurants and its proximity to the CBD. With its futuristic interior and relaxed yet electric atmosphere, it's the perfect place to start an evening sipping a cocktail at happy hour : just sit outside and enjoy the view! The food is decent but not particularly tasty.

One of Sydney's biggest gay clubs, with different theme nights every night (except Mondays). On Tuesdays, Bingo Drag Queen (Bingay) is hosted by Australia's two most famous drag queens. On Fridays, come and enjoy the foam parties, and on Saturdays, dance until you drop to the techno rhythms of the best international DJ's presenting all the latest music from around the world. This old art deco theater was built in 1892-1893 as the New Belmore Markets with, as a characteristic of the time, the inclusion of circus, theater and fairground shows. Due to the decline in attendance over time for these shows of all kinds, the building was transformed in 1913 into a racetrack. It became a permanent theater in 1927. Nowadays, its program includes great musical shows as well as famous artists: it is the little Australian Moulin Rouge!

Bangarra Dance Theatre is an Aboriginal (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) contemporary dance company founded in 1989. It is a permanent resident of the Opera House. In addition to the success of its annual tours, notably to Australia, the USA and the UK, it has been awarded the Helpmann Prize on several occasions. It is the only major Aboriginal company currently performing in Sydney. Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself further in Aboriginal culture.

A bar that celebrates the simple pleasures of life, bread and good wine. Eloise was a character in George Orwell's novel Down and Out in Paris and London , to whom a man lost in the streets of Paris asks for just enough money to buy bread and wine. Eloise answers his prayer. This bar serves wine but also brandy, cocktails, beers and other Australian and European spirits. And if you want to take advantage of all the qualities of the place, you can take advantage of the restaurant area to discover tasty dishes.

Opera Australia is Australia's national opera company. Each year, it presents more than 700 performances to audiences of over half a million. These performances are scheduled over several seasons. Among the great classics and the repertoire of this superb troupe are Madame Butterfly, Rigoletto, Aida, The Tales of Hoffman, Phantom of the Opera... Performances take place at theHanda Opera on Sydney Harbour (an open-air structure next to the Fleet Steps in the Royal Botanic Garden) or in the Sydney Opera House.

The Push is the Russell Hotel's pub and wine bar, a stone's throw from the Sydney Bridge and Circular Quay. During the day, the place is rather quiet and pleasant. Its white marble tables, wooden stools and Old Fashion leather benches invite you to have a tasty lunch. In the evening, the atmosphere becomes more animated, with live piano bar evenings on Fridays and Saturdays. The bar serves tasty beers and a number of spirits with the possibility of meals based on charcuterie and cheese platters, fish & chips, BBQ chicken wing.

The Steyne is an iconic landmark in Manly and, more generally, in the upscale, residential Northern Beaches area of Sydney's north, as the name suggests. The brick building was constructed in the ^mid-19th century, but has since been rebuilt and renovated. The Steyne is actually quite a huge complex, comprising a hotel, several bars and restaurants. On Friday and Saturday nights, the atmosphere changes radically, with the inner courtyard taking on the appearance of an open-air nightclub where all Manly's party-goers gather.
