Joseph Haydn spoke admiringly of Mozart in a letter to his father. This admiration was mutual, with Mozart calling Haydn "Papa Haydn" and dedicating several works to him. The new edition of the Mozart Festival explores the affinities between these two geniuses, as well as the musical filiation between Mozart and his models such as J.S. or C.P.E Bach, and his contemporaries such as Michaël Haydn. Mozart is performed in new venues such as Bonlieu and Léoncel, and the public is also invited to discover the careers of artists in residence in the chapels of Crupies and Comps. The grand lyric concert in the Saoû forest marks the festival's 35th anniversary. Conferences, musical walks, Saoû night, musical sunrises and shows dedicated to young audiences: another great program for this eagerly-awaited event in the Drôme. For further information, click here.
