It is not a city nor a place but a whole region which launched the organization of this festival which was launched in Auxerre in 2001. The registered concept is defined by a charter to be respected by all the cities which wish to launch out in the adventure and this in order to respect its spirit. First of all, the starting date is the first day of July and ends on August 31st. Thus, it is the terraces of cafés and restaurants, on certain summer evenings, during the week or at the weekend, which come alive and give the chance to local artists (for the most part) for free concerts for the pleasure of all.
