Many notable facades follow on the southern flank. At No. 16, the house Storch, which is named after its owner, a famous map publisher, presents paintings signed by Mikolas Ales. Two houses later, at No. 24, the house U zlatého jednorozce (A La licorne) has a baroque façade and a Gothic portal. Composer Bedrich Smetana founded his musical school in 1848. At No. 27, admire the baroque facade, decorated from a Virgin to the child. At the angle of the house U zlatého andela (at the angle of gold), note the statue of Saint-Florian, at the angle of the facade.
