Day 1: Pointe du Médoc and surf spots
Steps: Grayan-Et-L'Hôpital, Le Verdon-Sur-Mer, Soulac-Sur-Mer, Vendays-Montalivet
North of the Médoc, Le Verdon-sur-Mer boasts two beaches, three lighthouses and four harbours, including the Pointe de Grave, which offers a panoramic view of the mouth of Europe's largest estuary and the Renaissance silhouette of France's oldest lighthouse still in operation: the Cordouan lighthouse (UNESCO World Heritage Site). It takes 45 minutes to reach the lighthouse, nicknamed the Versailles of the sea, and 301 steps to reach the lantern balcony... The view is breathtaking! Why not head for Soulac-sur-Mer and Montalivet to enjoy the beaches and waves? Because yes, the Médoc is a surfing region! Thanks to its top-quality sandbanks, L'Amélie beach is an accessible spot for surfers of all levels. On the blockhouse side, the waves can be powerful and hollow. The much busier Plage du Gurp at Grayan-et-l' Hôpital also attracts lovers of good waves. We end the day at Montalivet, in Bordeaux California, to enjoy the evening.

Day 2: Hourtin-Carcans and Lacanau in freshwater
To get the full measure of France's largest freshwater lake, head to theHourtin nautical stopover for a stroll along the lake's only harbour. With little ones, a visit to the children's island is a must. For swimming, we change course. Located on the western shore of the lake, Piqueyrot beach is considered by many to be the most beautiful on the lake. Catamaran, windsurf, canoe, stand-up paddle, pedal boat... Take advantage! With children, go to Carcans-Maubuisson. For Sunday walkers who like a bit of height, the 7-kilometre loop of the sentier du lac is a very pleasant stroll. Don't forget to continue to the Pointe de Coben! Finally, spend the evening in Lacanau.
Day 3: The Arcachon Basin
Steps: Andernos-Les-Bains, Arcachon, Arès, Lège-Cap-Ferret, Pyla-Sur-Mer
The day begins with a beautiful walk near the oyster port ofAndernos-les-Bains. Protected and listed in the picturesque heritage of the Gironde, the Pointe des Quinconces was one of Sarah Bernhardt's favorite walks. Follow the coastal path to the bridge crossing the Cirès river to the beach of Saint-Brice, in Arès. And now, head for the central beach ofArcachon. From the Thiers pier, take a boat trip, catamaran or pinasse to the Bird Island and the Cabanes Tchanquées. After having strolled through the summer city, go to the Moulleau beach. From here, you can see the Dune du Pilat, the Banc d'Arguin and the Cap Ferret. And to finish in beauty, go to the highest dune in Europe to admire the sunset.
