History and nature
Steps: Crooked Tree
Wake up and head for the archaeological site ofAltun Ha (approx. 1 hour's drive to the site), lunch in one of the restaurants surrounding the site, then on to Crooked Tree for an overnight stay in an authentic village in the heart of a nature reserve much appreciated by birdwatchers.
Discover the Mayan culture
Steps: San Pedro
Head for Lamanai, a Mayan archaeological site renowned for its splendor, and in the early afternoon return to Belize City to catch the ferry to San Pedro at the end of the day (1.5-hour trip between Belize City and San Pedro). Check-in at your hotel.
Exploration of the seabed and a lazy afternoon
Steps: San Pedro
The first half-day in the islands is devoted to discovering the Hol Chan Marine Reserve on a diving expedition, which usually also includes a stopover at Shark Ray Alley. Return for lunch, to be taken in one of the many restaurants in the central district of San Pedro. In the afternoon, stroll through the few streets of the town, and enjoy a relaxing massage or spa session.

Spend the day discovering the Great Blue Hole (4-hour round trip). Return at the end of the day, and enjoy a relaxing musical moment in one of Ambergris Caye's bars.

Caye Caulker coral island
Steps: Caye Caulker
Wake up and head for Caye Caulker (45-minute ferry ride from San Pedro), where you'll discover the island and its beach, promising plenty of idle time. Spend the night on Caye Caulker and enjoy its Caribbean nightlife and reggae soundtrack.
