Pick up from Kigali airport/lodge to start your 2 day Bwindi Gorilla safari from Kigali.
You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport or any hotel in Kigali to begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey is very scenic and will take you through a country of a thousand hills to the pearl of Africa. You will cross into Uganda at the Katuna or Chanika border for a stop in the town of Kabale (Katuna) or Kisoro (Chanika), then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the night.

After breakfast on the second day of your 2 DAYS BWINDI GORILLA SAFARI FROM KIGALI, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Your guide will explain all the do's and don'ts with the mountain gorillas, and then you will be transferred to your gorilla family's starting point. Please note that gorilla family assignment depends on your interests, fitness level and age. Please inform your guide of your interests and he/she will try to request the gorilla family of your choice before you start the forest trek. Gorilla trekking can be strenuous and a certain level of fitness is required. Gorilla trekking can take anywhere from 30 minutes to three quarters of a day and you should be prepared for both.
