DAY 3: DIVUNDU

Steps: Rundu

The local population grows millet and corn. Sheep, goats and cattle cross the roads. The feeling of Africa, unspoilt nature and daily life here intensifies. Today, you drive on to Mahango Game Reserve & Buffalo Game Park. Here, the emphasis is on boat trips, fishing excursions, hunting tours and village visits. The rivers and swamps attract buffalo, ginger, lechwe and sable antelope. It's not uncommon to see hippos dancing around the lodge at night. The Popa Falls rapids are also well worth a visit. These rustic waterfalls are around 4 metres high and stretch across the entire width of the river. They are especially beautiful in the dry season, when the water from the rainy season has made its way here, making Popa Falls a lush sight

DAY 4: DIVUNDU

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you cross the Okavango River to reach Bwabwata National Park. It's not unusual for elephants to cross the road! En route to your current accommodation, you can stop off at a traditional village. The locals will show you the traditional drum rhythms and intense dances of the Caprivians.
