San Francisco
Welcome to San Francisco, the most European (and most tolerant) of American cities.
San Francisco has so much to offer... To begin your stay, why not go to the top floor of the De Young Museum, where you can enjoy the best view of the city?
And a tour of Alcatraz prison at nightfall is a truly exceptional experience.
San Francisco
Be sure to ride the famous cable car early in the morning to avoid the crowds: a truly iconic San Francisco experience.
Take the children to watch the sea lions at Fisherman's Wharf or the marine animals at the Bay Aquarium.
And at the end of the day, why not walk across the Golden Gate Bridge? The bridge at sunset is a truly magical moment!
San Francisco / Monterey (136 km)
Spend the morning continuing your discovery of San Francisco before picking up your RV.
Then take scenic Route 1 (Highway 1) which runs along the Pacific coast, considered by some to be the most beautiful coastline in the world.
Your destination is Monterey, a typical California coastal town.
If there's one thing you don't want to miss in Monterey, it's the scenic 17-Mile Drive. This private road passes through one of the richest and most famous residential districts on the west coast.
Monterey / California Coast (271 km)
Steps: Pismo Beach
Your road trip continues with Pismo Beach, known for its beaches and sand dunes.
Your day will be spent exploring the most scenic stretch of Route 1, between Carmel and San Simeon via Big Sur. You will want to stop often to take in the views.
At the end of the day, head for downtown Pismo Beach where you can enjoy a stroll along the beach after a good dinner at one of the area's many restaurants.
California Coast / Los Angeles (240 km)
Set a course for the City of Angels, Los Angeles.
It's a well-known fact: L.A. beaches are legendary. Visit Santa Monica Beach for a touch of upscale chic: a great place to do some shopping.
Or head to Venice Beach with its more bohemian vibe. It's the artists' district of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles
Today, get a look behind the scenes with a Hollywood movie studio tour. We recommend Universal Studios for families, or Warner Bros.
Along the way, discover the most beautiful neighborhoods in Beverly Hills, home to the biggest stars in Hollywood.

Don't miss Hermit Road in Grand Canyon National Park.
This road can be explored on foot and/or by shuttle bus. Follow the road to Mohave Point, a scenic overlook offering a breathtaking panoramic view to the west. You will literally feel as though you are floating over the Grand Canyon!
Desert View Drive at sunset is also spectacular. Lipan Point, in particular, is the perfect spot to enjoy colourful sunset vistas.
Grand Canyon / Monument Valley (289 km)
Steps: Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
The adventure continues with an iconic symbol of the Far West and the American western, Monument Valley.
Be sure to take the Monument Valley scenic drive, the best way to enjoy the beauty of these legendary landscapes. However, this dirt road is not recommended for RVs. You'll be better off hiring a Navajo guide who will drive you in a 4x4.
John Ford's Point is without a shadow of a doubt the most spectacular location in the region, and is also the most accessible. You'll have no reason to miss it!
Monument Valley / Lake Powell (212 km)

Make a stop at Tuolumne Meadows, the largest subalpine meadow in the Sierra Nevada. You won't have to walk far to find peace and serenity there.
Then make your way to the Yosemite Valley section. An easy 30-minute walk (round-trip) along the trail to Lower Yosemite Falls leads to postcard-worthy scenery.
Important note: If you are travelling between October and May, Tioga Road will be closed due to excessive snow at high altitudes. In this case, we will have to modify your route to pass further south.
Yosemite
Steps: Yosemite National Park
This morning, head back towards the valley and turn right at the first intersection to reach Tunnel View.
