Arrival at Entebbe international airport
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our guide/driver who will take you to the hotel you have booked to relax and spend the night.

Transfer to Karamoja via the Pian Upe reserve
Steps: Le Karamoja
After an early breakfast, our guide/driver will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to Mount Moroto. En route, lunch and visit to the Pian Upe wildlife reserve for a walk through the reserve. We'll have panoramic views over the park's vast plains with a variety of bird species and wildlife such as elands, dik diks, ostriches and many other rare species of mammals as well as birds. Later, you'll make your way to the lodge you've booked in Moroto.
Mount Moroto is one of the volcanoes along the international border between Uganda and Kenya. As you drive up the mountain, enjoy magnificent countryside views of various features such as plantations, valleys, hills and more. You'll arrive at your reserved lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Today, after breakfast, you'll make your way to the starting point for check-in and a briefing on the hike. Afterwards, you'll make your way through the rainforest while observing various amazing species such as trees and wildlife like monkeys, among others. The mountain guides will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the mountain, and will also help you along the way. You'll reach the top of the mountain in the late afternoon or evening, depending on your physical abilities.

Descent of Mount Moroto
Steps: Le Karamoja
Today, you'll wake up and watch the magnificent sunrise from the summit of Mount Moroto. You'll have a delicious breakfast and then get ready to head back down to the starting point. The descent from the summit is always easier than the hike. So expect to reach the starting point by lunchtime, and you'll receive a hiking certificate in recognition. You'll then return to your lodge to relax and spend the night.

Cycling and nomadic camping in the bush

Today, after a free breakfast, you'll set off on a thrilling bike tour around the Karamojong community, through abandoned colonial roads and nomadic warrior cattle trails, while discovering their community's pastoral culture and interacting with indigenous communities. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation, as you prepare to go bush camping with the herders, to discover the true pastoral life of the Karamojong by fully immersing yourself in their activities.

Hike to Mont Morungole (10 km)

Today, you'll have an early breakfast before heading to Mount Morungole to begin a 10 km hike. On arrival at Morungole eco-camp, you'll have lunch and hike to the summit before heading back down to Morungole eco-camp for dinner and overnight.

Dodoth & IK cultural experiences
Steps: Le Karamoja
After an early breakfast, you'll head to Timu eco-camp for a briefing with your local guide before setting off to discover the Dodoth culture. Later, you'll return to camp for lunch and a walk on the Timu escarpment. The IK tribe now numbers just 7,000 members, who still speak their ancestral language and practice their culture and traditions. A unique insight into a living traditional culture. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Transfer - Kidepo Valley National Park

After a free breakfast, you'll head north to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Uganda's most remote and spectacular parks. You'll enjoy an evening safari in the park to observe various animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and many more.

Safari - Kidepo Valley National Park
Steps: Kidepo Valley National Park
Today, you'll wake up early with breakfast for an early morning safari that will allow you to observe the park's diverse wildlife, including elephants, leopards, warthogs, ostriches, buffalo, giraffes and lions, and continue birdwatching in the Narus Valley. After the safari, return to camp in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at camp.

Transfer - Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast, we leave Kidepo Valley National Park and return to Kampala via Gulu.We'll have lunch en route and arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon. You will then be transferred to Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
