Day 1: Arrival and sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria

On arrival, our guide/driver will meet you at Entebbe airport and transfer you to your booked hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you'll enjoy a photographic moment on a sunset cruise on Lake Victoria if you arrive before 4 p.m

Day 2: Transfer and rhino watching at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Steps: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls National Park

Early breakfast and departure for Murchison Falls National Park. The trip is a magical adventure with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the white rhinos. Your guide will provide you with information, then you'll set off in search of the rhinos in the sanctuary. After this rewarding walking experience and a photo opportunity, we make our way to the "summit of the falls", where the Nile is forced through a 7-metre gorge with a thunderous drop. Continue to your lodge for the night.

Day 3: Safari by car and boat - Murchison Falls National Park

Steps: Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is the largest in Uganda and offers some very interesting game-watching opportunities. Safaris start early in the morning, just after breakfast, which increases the chances of observing different animals, especially predators that tend to hide during the heat of the day. The safari takes place on the north bank of the Nile, where giraffe, elephant, hartebeest, buffalo, leopard, lion and various bird species can be seen.

In the afternoon, the safari continues on the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. This boat safari is an opportunity to photograph a wide variety of animals and birds, and to observe the falls from below.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Steps: Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you'll head off to Kibale National Park, well known as the primate capital of Africa. The Kibale forest is home to 13 species of primates, the main attraction being chimpanzee tracking and birdwatching. The journey to this rainforest passes through colorful villages and markets. Lunch en route in Fort-Portal before reaching your lodge in the Kibale forest.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and visit to the community of Bigodi in Kibale Forest National Park

Steps: Kibale Forest National Park

Today you'll have an early breakfast, then your driver/guide will transfer you to the briefing point for today's adventure. Chimpanzee tracking is an exciting adventure that takes you deep into the rainforests with water streams and abundant wildlife. You'll start with a briefing from the ranger guide on your chimpanzee trek. During your hike, you may spot red-tailed monkeys, black and white Columbus monkeys, butterflies and birds calling from the canopy. With your guide's help, you'll locate chimpanzees. Enjoy photo opportunities and observe them as they play, groom and feed. After lunch, you'll visit the Bigodi wetland, a community project known for its rich diversity of birds and primates, depending on the time available. This community project is involved in creating jobs for young people through tour guiding, with part of the proceeds going towards setting up schools and paying teachers.

Day 6: Transfer and authentic local experience - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Steps: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today morning, we travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a highly diverse national park and Uganda's most visited game reserve. On this day, we'll take a traditional tour of an African home and share a typical Ugandan meal prepared by a typical African woman in typical African surroundings. The meal is called Luwombo, and the guides will accompany you into this African life and setting as part of our authentic local experiences. Later, we'll head back to the lodge you've booked to relax and prepare for the evening safari and the scenic sites inside and outside the park.

Day 7: Safari and transfer to Ishasha area

Steps: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, after a relaxed breakfast, we drive to Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We check in at the lodge and then drive to the hunting area in the Ishasha sector. Today we'll cross the park in search of tree-climbing lions and other wildlife. Hyenas, hippos, buffaloes, elephants, topis, lions, leopards and much more to see. Enjoy an excellent sundowner and watch the sun set in the golden lights.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Steps: Forêt Impénétrable De Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, we begin our journey to the home of the gentle giants that are the mountain gorillas. The journey takes us through the terraced hills of the Kigezi highlands. Lunch will be taken en route or at the lodge, depending on arrival time. Well-earned rest at the lodge.

Day 9: Ultimate Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Steps: Forêt Impénétrable De Bwindi

Today, after an early breakfast, we head to the briefing point for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience. This activity lasts between 4 and 7 hours in the forest, depending on where the gorillas were left the day before. It's an amazing encounter with man's closest relative and a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with wildlife. We'll then return to the lodge to relax and finish the gorilla stories over a drink by the campfire.

Day 10: Exploring Lake Mutanda

On this day, the day after the Ultimate Gorilla Trekking, we'll head to Lake Mutanda, where you'll have lunch before heading off for photography time. You'll spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the lake's islands, where you'll get the best shots of the landscape, the local people and the great Virunga Mountains.

Day 11: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Steps: Parc National De L'Akagera

On this day, after a relaxed breakfast, you'll drive through Rwanda to Akagera National Park. Along the way, you'll enjoy magnificent views of Rwanda's eastern highlands. Arrive at the lodge around lunchtime. Later, you'll leave for an evening safari.

Day 12: Safari and boat cruise - Akagera National Park

Steps: Parc National De L'Akagera

After your early breakfast, you'll set off on a morning safari to spot more wildlife, including mammals grazing on the green savannah grasslands, as well as a variety of bird species, stunning vegetation and beautiful butterflies. Return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you'll enjoy the fresh air while observing several species of wildlife along the lake's shores, including crocodiles, hippos and more. Later, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer and gorilla guardian cultural village - Volcanoes National Park

Steps: Parc National Des Volcans

After breakfast, you'll leave your lodge and embark for Volcanoes National Park, passing through magnificent landscapes filled with vegetation, coffee plantations, hills and much more along the way. Lunch en route and, on arrival, check-in and depart for a cultural visit to the Ibyi'wacu cultural village for a breathtaking traditional Kinyarwanda experience. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Transfer to Kigali airport

Today you'll be transferred to Kigali airport, passing through the city of Kigali for a short city tour before heading to the airport for your departure flight. We hope you've had a fantastic time in Uganda and Rwanda, in nature and with people.
