Day 1: Transfer and gorilla trekking - Volcanoes National Park
Steps: Kigali, Parc National Des Volcans
After your early breakfast, one of our experienced guides will pick you up from your hotel at 4am and drive you to Volcanoes National Park for your ultimate gorilla trekking adventure.
You'll then rest for a while to allow your driver guide to check you in and assign you to the gorilla family you'll be visiting. You will then attend a pre-tour briefing by the ranger guide who will take you into the mountains for your gorilla adventure. You'll follow trails through the mist to find the mountain gorillas.
Time permitting, you can visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center to learn about the Rwandan genocide that took place in 1994. Return to your hotel, residence or airport if it's your flight time.
