Budget & Tips
There are few places to play sports outdoors in Conakry. Among the few sandy beaches, some offer the opportunity to practice soccer, the king sport in Guinea, or other less popular sports like rugby.
For running (in safety), the Jardin du 2 Octobre or the Jardin Botanique offer a few paths adapted for this practice, but over short distances.
In the interior of the country, Fouta Djalon offers an almost unlimited terrain for hiking. Trekking for several days can be organized quite easily.
For those who would like to spread their towel on the beach to bubble, it will be necessary to go to one of the islands of the archipelago of Loos off Conakry or a little further to the beaches of Bel Air, Denkelekele and Koukoudé.
Note that for lovers of sport fishing or underwater, various operators installed on the islands of Loos offer packages stay or day to allow them to indulge their passion
To be booked
If you wish to discover the Nimba Mountains, explore the Ziama forest and track elephants, or travel the tracks of the Upper Niger National Park, it is recommended that you contact the people in charge of these places a little in advance to get the latest information and plan your stay
More generally, as there are not many experienced guides in each region, it is preferable to contact them a few days before your arrival to ensure their availability.
