Arriving in Vilankulo, a small town halfway along the 2,500 km of coastline that runs along Mozambique, the view is breathtaking. The Indian Ocean declines its palette of colours and in the distance, the Bazaruto archipelago beckons. An hour by boat, we reach the island, challenging the small whims of the ocean. It is necessary to climb the dune of the island of Bazaruto to take height and observe the sandbanks which are drawn all in roundness, in white and blue azure. Underwater, its coral reef is still preserved and vibrant. An aquarium. We then remember how much nature is full of wonders.
