It all depends on the activity. The advantage is that there are a lot of them in Slovenia. Winter sports (around €30 for a day pass in an average resort), white water sports (between €50 and €75), caving (between €10 and €20), water sports (diving from €60) and of course a lot of walking trails in forest areas, perfect for mountain biking (€25 per day), jogging or mushroom picking in the autumn.
What's very local
The observation of bears or wolves, natural sites that present themselves as gigantic and inspiring playgrounds, zip lines of several kilometres, etc.

Guided tours of caves in low and mid season and, in general, all outdoor activities are sometimes conditioned by the number of participants and weather conditions.
Main events
Alpine Skiing World Cup events in Kranjska Gora in January and Pohorje in March, international ski jumping events in Planica, Ljubljana Marathon in October, several sports clubs to follow as well, such as RK Celje (handball), NK Maribor (football) or Olimpija Ljubljana (basketball).
