Throughout November, along the Bolzano Wine Road, from mazot to mazot, tradition dictates that after the harvest, all those who helped with the harvest are invited to a big party to taste the new Susser wine. In Latin torquere means "to press", in this case the grape. Thus, from one wine farm to another, the new vintage is tasted, but also regional seasonal specialities such as roasted chestnuts, walnuts, krapfen (delicious pastries filled with jam), sausages and home-made charcuterie, including the unmissable speck.
