The festive season begins on Saint Nicholas Day! In Castelrotto, the mountains of Trentino-Alto Adige are the setting for the costume parade, with the appearance of the ghastly Krampus! He's a bit like the local bogeyman, dressed in animal skin, with an emaciated face topped by large horns. Terrifying! With his disciples, he roams the village in search of naughty children(bambini cattivi). On the hill of Manarola (Cinque Terre), the crib lights up in the night. Fireworks launch the festivities and Christmas markets.
