Children's day(Wan Dek in Thai) is celebrated by free or heavily discounted admission to zoos, museums, etc.
The day of the children is celebrated the second Saturday of January. In Thai it is called Wan Dek, and a proverb of the kingdom says: "Children are our future, if children are intelligent, the country will be prosperous". Each year the Prime Minister designates a theme and creates a slogan for this special day. Thais spend the day going out with their children and enjoy free or heavily discounted admission to amusement parks, zoos and museums throughout the country.
