The free beaches are not easy to find; everywhere they are either privatized by resorts or paid. But we indicate them in this guide. You can do Jamaican rafting, tubing on the rivers, golf, one of the most popular sports on the island, and water sports on the coast. Main events

The Reggae Marathon, a 10 km half-marathon in Negril takes place every year during the first weekend of December. The program includes an international atmosphere worthy of the biggest marathons, a gourmet pasta party and numerous reggae concerts the day before, a race in the good mood of the early morning to not suffer too much from the heat, and a refreshing swim in the turquoise water of the 7-mile white sandy beach once the race is over. The reggae marathon invites you to come for the run, and stay for the fun !

Tourist traps

There are always touts who will want to guide you around waterfalls, rivers and other water features (Blue Lagoon, Blue Hole, etc.). Continue on your way to the entrance and politely refuse their help.
