The opening hours are the same as in France, i.e. closing around midnight for the classic bars, and a guaranteed party until the end of the night in the nightclubs. In summer, the hours are longer and fluctuate according to the number of people. Happy hour" is generously offered between 5pm and 8pm.
Budget & Tips
Prices are about the same as in France. You should count at least 5 € for a glass of wine, 10 € for a cocktail. Beware, prices can soar in the trendy seaside resorts of the Costa Smeralda. It is necessary to count between 45 and 60 € for a nightclub entrance, with drink prices that can be exorbitant once inside. The nightlife is very expensive.
Night transport
In Cagliari, the metro runs between 6:15 and 22:30 on line 1 and 6:15 and 21:30 on line 2. In Sassari, the metro runs from 6:15am to 9pm. There are no night buses and cabs are required for late returns.
Age restrictions
The consumption of alcohol is forbidden to people under 16 years old, as well as the sale. The alcohol content may not exceed 10°. From the age of 18, the consumption and purchase of any type of alcohol is possible. Therefore, access to a bar or nightclub is forbidden to those under 16.
What's very local
Some trendy bars and especially nightclubs impose a dress code. The night spots of the coast sell party and dream and the clothes must be ad-hoc.
Smokers
