L'ARCHICONFRÉRIE SAINT-VINCENT DES VIGNERONS DE LA CHAMPAGNE
In Champagne, as in Burgundy, the wine growers and Champagne Houses, together each year, celebrate Saint Vincent, the patron of the wine growers.
Archconfraternity Saint Vincent was born in the 1930 s, bringing together a small number of villages. It was only in 1991, under the impetus of Brigitte Chandon-Moët, Jean-Paul Médard and Michel Janisson, president of the fraternity of Epernay, that the idea of a great common feast came into being.
Today, the celebrations of Saint Vincent are an indispensable event for Champagne wine professionals. Traditionally organised in Epernay, they export every three years to other communes, such as Troyes, Reims or Château-Thierry.
