On the occasion of International Museum Day, admission to museums, monuments and sites belonging to the State is free!
It's THE day to walk around museums in peace, or almost in peace. May 18 is the International Day of Museums, established by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 1977. Not only is admission to all museums free, but many take advantage of this to organise special celebrations or festivities. Why not take the opportunity to walk through the Sanctuary of the Great Gods of Samothrace? Knowing that it is still relatively out of season, this date is a godsend for visitors.
