MADHOUSE WAZEMMES
Located not far from the New Adventure square, which hosts the Wazemmes market, the factory Leclercq, a 1990 th century filature closed in 2004, was transformed into a Folie House in. The architecture was conceived by a Dutch team, and offers an astonishing sparkling metal dress in the show room. Throughout the year, theatre plays, music festivals such as Reggae Waz Fest and concerts, especially on the occasion of the "release party" worship, where local artists who have released an album reveal their music to the wider audience. At its side, the exhibition room regularly hosts new works in a building that retains the charm of its origins, with its brick walls. With a vocation to promote popular cultures and to provoke meetings, Folie Folie is at the heart of exchanges, multiple crossings, between disciplines, artists of all walks, communities and audiences. The Maison Folie Wazemmes or how to promote culture in all its forms in a playful, festive and convivial way!
