The house's auditorium now has 240 tiered seats and a standing capacity of 700.

Close to the Place de la Nouvelle-Aventure, home to the Wazemmes market, the Leclercq factory, a 19th-century spinning mill closed in 1990, was transformed into a Maison Folie in 2004. The building sports a shimmering metallic coat. The auditorium has 240 tiered seats and a standing capacity of 700. There's also a more intimate room, l'Auberge, and a 3-storey exhibition space, workrooms for artists in residence, workshop rooms, a conviviality room with kitchen and 3 artists' lodgings.
