Pâtisserie St Germain is a well-known name in Châteauroux and the Indre region in general, despite Thierry Denoël's departure after 40 years of service.
Away from the city center, on a wide avenue between Châteauroux and Déols, it offers easy parking. The welcome is charming and the specialities excellent. The hardest part is choosing which pastry to try, as the whole stall is so tempting. As well as cakes, they also make excellent homemade chocolates.
