LE PATIO CAFÉ
Steve and Maggie's welcome, mixing hesitant English and French, is full of charm: these crazy Americans in love with this part of the Périgord vert love foreigners who have chosen to live there too and the Périgord people who want to progress in the languages of the world. "Just a little bit different": this is the formula of the Patio café, which emulates the fireplace in winter and the terrace in summer. Theme evenings, such as Franco-Anglo quizzes or writing workshops, are great opportunities for discussion. The musical evenings follow one another and Thanksgiving has established itself in the local landscape with a menu around turkey of course! The homemade lunch dishes have mixed flavours from here and elsewhere, vegetables with curry or Spanish omelette. Pastries are the strong point of the place, especially cupcakes. On Saturdays, the monumental English breakfast makes people happy.
