This basilica, built in concrete in the Art Deco style, is the work of the architect Paul Rouvière, a specialist in religious monuments. He was killed in the war in September 1939 before seeing the end of the work, which was taken over by Yves-Marie Froidevaux, who completed the interior decoration after the end of the conflict.
