GARDENS OF SINGLES AND ROYAL FLOWERS
A garden of simplicity and flowers spread over five terraces, offering a view of the Loire River at Blois.
The garden of simple plants and royal flowers is part of Les Jardins du Roy, a contemporary interpretation by landscape architect Gilles Clément in 1992 to recapture a part of the gardens initiated under Louis XII, and their history. The jardin des simples, with all its aromas of medicinal plants, recalls the Middle Ages, while the jardin des fleurs royales is reminiscent of the Renaissance. The amethyst grotto with its cascading waterfall is a lovely place to stroll.
