FUZON MEADOWS
A sensitive natural area at Couffy, one of the last breeding grounds in Centre-Val de Loire for many birds.
At the confluence of the Cher and Fouzon rivers, the Fouzon meadows, covering 230 ha and straddling 6 communes, have become a sensitive natural area. This protected area is one of the last breeding grounds in the Centre-Val de Loire region for rare birds such as the curlew, the hobby falcon and the spotted locustelle. The Fouzon meadows are also home to a remarkable flora, including protected species such as high violet, marsh orchid and great burnet.
