The Church Saint-Barthélemy founded in 1149, Notre-Dame de la Ferté-Avrain, became a college in 1177. It was the secular canons that ensured worship. They were 9 at the beginning. This church, which suffered from the wars of this medieval era, was rebuilt and renewed on 23 January 1524 under the name of Holy Saint. The faithful attending the offices were separated from the choir by a grid to the steps that still exist today. The college was abolished in 1712 with a very regular nave and a vault of warhead wood. You can admire its wooden porch, as well as the th century carved wooden stalls on which the pilgrims have carved crosses over the centuries. The nave is unique. There are paintings of the th century. The acoustics are one of the best in. It's a sublime solognote church.
