SAINT-GENEST CHURCH
This Romanesque church of the th century was built from stones from a more ancient building. This feature gives the church a unique and somewhat primitive appearance. A true treasure of Romanesque art, the church opens to the west by a square tower porch, which is one of the main features of the building. The other glory of Saint-Genest, its mural paintings dates back to the th, th and th centuries. Christ in the Majesty is certainly a unique work. The Saint-Genest priory is home to the town hall of Lavardin.
