This reserve is home to exceptional flora and fauna and a variety of environments, offering a trail to discover the Grande Mesle.
The 275-hectare nature reserve is classified as a sensitive natural area. A 5 km discovery trail, both artistic and educational, runs through the area. The fauna and flora are exceptional, with 2,900 species listed, in natural calcicolous environments, oak groves, boxwoods, fresh forests, marshes, rivers, etc., providing a refuge for numerous animal species. It is also home to the largest protohistoric necropolis in the Centre region.
