The pond is in fact much closer to the village of La Ferté-Beauharnais than to that of Neung. You can reach it from the Ferté, by the small road which leaves next to the school towards the south towards Marcilly-en-Gault, or from Marcilly pond to the north. Several years ago, it hosted a very large colony of white-fronted Gull (over pairs). It has significantly decreased since the excavation of the pond. In spite of this, the spring grebes can still be observed, as well as several species of ducks, including the scaup duck.
